Living in Tennessee, bourbon and whisky are king. Finding a good Old Fashioned in Nashville is about as difficult as finding a good guitarist. But I'm not Bourbon Sam, I'm Bamboo Sam and as much as I love the flavor of an Old Fashioned I was certain that the flavor profile would make for a good Tiki drink.
It took a bit of research and a lot of trial and error (tough job, mine!) but I think I've landed on a combination that adheres to the idea of the Old Fashion while living firmly within the realm of Tiki.
So, I give you the Old Fashioned Tropicale!
